Türkiye’nin Tek Graffiti Dergisi ‘ Bosphorus Magazine ‘ Milk’te!!
O yok bu yok derken hem kitap hem de dergi haberleriyle sevindik bu ay.
Sonunda bizlerin de graffiti’ye dair düzenli bir yayını olmuş oldu. Bunun için özellikle Pars ve Emar’a teşekkür ediyoruz.
Derginin ilk sayısında Wall, Bombing, Train, ve Street Art kategorilerinde 120 graffiticiye ait 300′den fazla iş bulunuyor. Toplamda 80 sayfa olan derginin tamamı renkli ve kuşe kağıda baskı. Derginin ücreti ise sadece 10 YTL.

Ağustos ayının en güzel süprizi uzun zamandır heyecanla beklediğimiz ‘Turkish Graffiti’ kitabının raflarda yerini almasıydı.
Çok sevdiğimiz Tunç Dindaş (aka Turbo) 90′lardan beri oluşturduğu arşivinden de faydalanarak Türk Graffiti sanatçılarının işlerini bu kitapta bir araya getirdi. 128 sayfadan oluşan kitabın tamamı ‘renkli’. İçerikte ise Walls, Bombings, Street Arts ve Tags kategorilerinde, 250′den fazla graffiti yer alıyor.
Arşivinizde mutlaka bulunması gereken bu kitaptan sadece 500 adet üretildi. Yurtdışını aratmayacak kalitede basılan ve kalın cilt kullanılan kitap, sadece 28 TL’ye satılıyor. Her kitapta kendine ait bir de seri numarası bulunuyor.

Yeti Logic is a sampling of Megan Whitmarsh’s embroidery shown in a manner meant to imply geometry, stacking and interlocking elements such as bricks, legos or crystal formations. In this invented world, elves wear tiny gold necklaces and yetis visit discos; in lands inhabited by icebergs, crystals, rays and forests. Her themes can best be visually described as scenes of fantasy characters existing amongst the detritus of the modern world. They can best be conceptually described as the artist’s attempt to reconcile the ataxia of the modern world with an optimistic vision of the future dictated by an internal logic and supernatural iconography. Socializing yetis, elf girls and boys make and examine large sculptures and geometric crystal forms that reference both scientific and spiritual structures. Having grown up in the 70’s and 80’s, the artist, like many of her generation, uses the visual noise of her youth as inspiration, rather than the history of painting.

Worlds where souls have crossed paths and stories have been abandoned. The Clayton Brothers are driven by an unknown narrative. Their paintings are created to tell overlooked stories and to ultimately reveal their own.

Every year since Robert Hardgrave received a kidney transplant, he completes a project to celebrate the anniversary of the gift of life. Magic Beans, dedicated to the family of the donor who’s organ makes it possible for Hardgrave to continue producing work, making this book his 5th anniversary project.
